Unique bookmark inspired by the beautiful and unusual flowers of the Wattle that is very prevalent in the Australian landscape.
Australia is the land of the wattle! There are over 1000 different species of wattles, belonging to the genus Acacia.
They are instantly recognisable for their distinctive brightly coloured fluffy yellow flowers.
Traditionally Wattles were valued by Aboriginal people as a source of food, medicine and for the quality of timber, used in the production of a range of tools and weapons.
The “Golden Wattle” species is Australia’s national floral emblem.
Made in my Perth studio, this bookmark is fashioned from stainless steel.
A little black wooden bead is attached to mimic a nut.
Perfect for the person that has everything and book lovers alike!
If you're looking for handmade authentic Australian gifts, then this is it! Ideal for posting overseas too.
